Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw To Compete at Third Straight NCAA Indoor Championships
INDIANAPOLIS - Goucher College women's indoor track and field junior Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw has qualified for this week's NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 800 meter run.This marks her third year in a row that she has qualified. The championships will be held at Golisano Training Center in Rochester, New York.
The women's 800 prelims are set for Friday at 4:00pm, with the finals set for Saturday at 5:05 pm.
Thornton-Fillyaw enters the championships as the No. 1 seed, with a time of 2:09.06, improving on both her seed and time from last year.
Last weekend, Thornton-Fillyaw won the women's 800 at the Landmark Conference Championship for the third straight year, setting her NCAA DIII record time to place her in No. 1.
