Gophers Compete at Danny Curran Invitational

Chester, Pa.- Goucher traveled to Widener University to compete in the Danny Curran Invitational this weekend. The events kicked off on Friday and went through Saturday. Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw placed third in the women's 1500 meter with a time of 4:38.30. In the women's pole vault Aryanna Paulena placed third in the triple jump with a distance of 11.29 meters. She also placed fourth with a vault of 3.35 meters. Freshman Nancy Nyadongo placed sixth in the women's 200 meter. 

There were multiple school records broken at today's meet. Paulena's performance in the pole vault secured her the new school outdoor record. Nyadongo now holds the 200 meter record with her 25.13 performance. Lastly, Emmanuel Olarewaju now holds the men's 400 metere hurdle record with a time of 56.91.
