Women’s Golf Finishes in a Tie for Fourth at UMW Eagle Invitational
STAFFORD, Va. - The Goucher College women’s golf team finished in a tie for fourth overall at the UMW Eagle Invitational, which was held over the last two days at the par 71 Augustine Golf Club.

On the weekend, the Gophers opened the spring portion of their inaugural season shooting a combined score of 869, the same as Arcadia. Taking the team title at the Invitational was York with a combined score of 725.
Individually on the weekend, first-year Emmie Starchvick (Jacksonville, Ore.) finished 11th overall with a weekend score of 191 (93-98). Elsewhere, fellow first-year Christina Pevey (Post, Texas) placed just behind Starchvick in 15th with a score of 202 (100-102), while first-year Emily Pochet (Royersford, Pa.) finished 25th overall (combined two-day score of 229).
The Goucher College women's golf team returns to action on Monday, April 9th, as they head to Piney Branch Golf Club in Upperco, Md. for the Stevenson Spring Invitational.
