Christina Pevey of Women's Golf Named Goucher College Athlete of the Week

First-year Christina Pevey (Post, Texas) put together a top-three finish at the inaugural Landmark Conference Women's Golf Championship over the weekend, and for her efforts, she has been named the Goucher College Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career for the period ending April 29. 

On the weekend, Pevey led the Gophers to a third place finish as a team in the event, as she too finished third individually in the event that was played at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club in Hummels Wharf, Pa. On both Saturday and Sunday, Pevey carded scores of 93 to finish third overall with a combined two-day score of 186.

Pevey and the rest of the Goucher College women's golf team completed their first season of intercollegiate competition over the weekend at the Landmark Championships. On the year, the team finished in the top five of each event they played in throughout the Fall and Spring, finishing a season-best third place as a team on four different occasions.
