Women's Golf Moves Up One Spot at Cardinal Classic
HAGERSTOWN, Md. - The Goucher College women's golf team moved up one spot to finish seventh out of nine teams at the Cardinal Classic hosted by Catholic University at Black Rock Golf Course on Sunday. The Gophers lowered their second round score by 35 shots to finish at 384 Sunday and 803 for the tournament.
Junior Katie West posted a career-best round of 87 on Sunday and moved up nine spots to finish 34th. West finished at 195 for the tournament. Maddie Agrusti finished with a two-day total of 194 to place one spot behind West, while Jilli Spooner improved by 12 shots on Sunday to card a 97.
First year Katelynn Roberts improved by 13 shots, posting a 98 on Sunday, while Molly Smith finished with a second round 106.
Goucher women's golf is back in action next Monday, April 30, at the Stevenson Fall Invitational at Piney Branch Golf Course.
