Gophers Place Seventh at The Melee
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Goucher College women's golf team placed seventh out of nine teams at The Melee contested Sunday and Monday at Ford's Colony Country Club. The Gophers improved by nine shots and checked in at 409 Monday en route to a two-day total of 830.
Senior Maddie Agrusti shot 91 on Monday and finished at 184 for the tournament to finish 24th out of 44 competitors.
Senior Molly Smith lowered her score by nine shots on Monday, turning in a 99 to finish at 207 for the tournament. Katelynn Roberts improved by 11 shots and carded a 104 on Monday, while Jilli Spooner shot 105 in her opening round on Sunday.
Goucher closes out the fall this weekend when it competes in the Landmark Conference Preview at Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort, site of the 2025 Landmark Conference Women's Golf Championship.
