ST. MARY'S CITY, MD Emily Blatter (Lexington, VA/Rockbridge County), who had never scored more than five goals in a game in her three seasons at Goucher before producing six goals twice last week, today was named Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week in the Capital Athletic Conference for April 9-15.

ST. MARY'S CITY, MD — Emily Blatter
(Lexington, VA/Rockbridge County), who had never scored
more than five goals in a game in her three seasons at Goucher
before producing six goals twice last week, today was named Women's
Lacrosse Player of the Week in the Capital Athletic Conference for
April 9-15.
Blatter had a hand in half of the 30 goals the Gophers scored in
victories over York, 15-7, and Rowan, 15-14. The junior attacked
turned in a six-goal, two-assist performance against the Spartans
before scoring six more times and picking up an assist in the
come-from-behind triumph over the Profs.
Blatter, one of six players nominated for the weekly award, also
controlled a total of 14 draws in last week's two contests.
Blatter was previously named CAC Player of the Week for women's
lacrosse for the period of Feb. 26-March 4.
