Landmark Goes With Frallicciardi as Top Defensive Performer
TOWSON, Md. — Coming off a week in which Goucher went 3-0, the Landmark Conference today recognized Hannah Frallicciardi (Baltimore, Md./Pikesville) as the conference's Defensive Player of the Week.
Senior Defender Forces 10 Turnovers by Three Opponents
TOWSON, Md. — Goucher's Hannah Frallicciardi (Baltimore, Md./Pikesville) was named the Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week in the Landmark Conference today for March 4-10.
The senior defender was exceptional in all three games as Goucher concluded the week with a 3-0 record, causing a total of 10 turnovers to vault to the top of the conference in the category for the season. She now has 14 on the year, even with Drew's Krysta Cento.
Frallicciardi also scooped up five ground balls and was a major factor in the Gophers posting a 5.33 goals against average in the three games. She forced three turnovers and had one ground ball in the Notre Dame (Md.) contest. Against Virginia Wesleyan, she was credited with four caused turnovers and a pair of ground balls; against St. Joseph's (Maine), she had three caused turnovers and two more ground balls.
The Gophers defeated the Gators, 15-4, the Marlins, 15-8, and the Monks, who came in averaging 17.0 goals per game, 16-4.
