Khin Becomes Sixth to Make All-Conference Four Times
TOWSON, Md. — Hannah Khin (Portsmouth, N.H./Portsmouth) became the sixth player in the history of Goucher's women's lacrosse program to earn all-conference honors four times during her career when the 2013 All-Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Team was revealed today and the senior was on it as a first-team midfielder.
The team includes 27 student-athletes, with at least three from each of the five institutions in the Landmark Conference which sponsor women's lacrosse as an intercollegiate sport. Position-by-position voting was done by the head coaches and the balloting produced 13 first-team selections and 14 additional players on a second unit.
Khin is the only player representing Goucher on the first team. Including the team-leading 65 goals she contributed to the Gophers this season, she finished fourth in program history with 208 career goals.
Khin joins Kristin Carey (1995-98), Alison Healy (1999-2002), Ashley Sudbrook (2002-05), Emily Blatter (2005-08) and Becca Smith (2009-12) as the six female lacrosse players to be selected an all-conference performer all four years they played at Goucher. She was a second-team selection in 2010 as a freshman and again last year; she was on the first team in 2011 as a sophomore.
Goucher placed four players on the All-Landmark second team: junior Erin Reifsnyder (Austin, Texas/St. Andrew's Episcopal) and sophomore Anneke Ossorio (Lafayette, Colo./Kent Denver School) as midfielders and senior Hannah Frallicciardi (Baltimore, Md./Pikesville) and junior Hannah Mae Brown (Pinedale, Wyo. / Dunn School) as defenders.
Reifsnyder, Ossorio and Brown are repeat-selections from last year on the All-Landmark second team.
Reifsnyder was Goucher's second-leading scorer behind Khin in 2013 with 49 goals, plus she was leader in ground balls (53) and caused turnovers (37), and co-leader in assists (4); Ossorio supplied the Gophers with 21 goals and controlled a team-leading total of 53 draws.
Frallicciardi and Brown ranked 2-3 behind Reifsnyder in caused turnovers with 30 and 26, respectively.
