Women's Lacrosse Falls to Occidental on Final Day of Spring Break Trip

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Goucher College women's lacrosse team fell in the final match of their 2018 Spring Break trip in Southern California on Wednesday night at Occidental, 20-6.
With the defeat, Goucher is now 0-8 on the year, while Occidental moved to 7-3 overall with the victory.
On the evening, sophomore Shannon Stull (Westminster, Md.) led the Gophers offense, nabbing a hat trick. For Stull, it marked the sixth time on the 2018 season that she has scored multiple goals in a contest, accomplishing the feat in each of the last four games for the Gophers.
Elsewhere, first-year Soleil Gagne (Portsmouth, N.H.) scored a pair of goals in the contest, while sophomore Gabrielle Umstead (Chadds Ford, Pa.) rounding out the scoring for Goucher on the evening with a goal of her own. Fellow sophomore Alyssa Long (Pennsburg, Pa.) was also credited with an assist in the match, as well, while posting a team-best five ground balls and two caused turnovers.
The Goucher College women's lacrosse team returns to action on Sunday, as they open Landmark Conference play for the 2018 season at Scranton. Things get underway at 1 p.m.
