Women's Lacrosse Falls at Scranton in Landmark Conference Opener
SCRANTON, Pa. - Sophomore Shannon Stull (Westminster, Md.) of the Goucher College women's lacrosse team posted her second straight hat trick on Sunday, as the Gophers opened Landmark Conference play for the season at Scranton.

But, the host Royals captured a 21-4 decision over Goucher at Fitzpatrick Field. With the defeat, Goucher fell to 0-9 and 0-1 in the Landmark Conference, while Scranton improved to 5-3 overall and 1-0 in the Landmark with the victory.
On the day, Stull continued to lead the Gopher offense in a game with her three-goal performance. The sophomore has now scored multiple goals in a game eight times throughout the course of the year, doing so in five straight games for Goucher. Overall, she has scored a team-best 25 goals for the year and has already bested her goal total from a season ago (21).
Elsewhere, fellow sophomore Alyssa Long (Pennsburg, Pa.) scored the other goal on the day for Goucher. Long has now scored 12 goals on the season, as well.
In net, senior Bridget Den Boer (Sparta, N.J.) went into double-figures in the saves department yet again, finishing with 17 on the day. Den Boer, who also had a team-best four ground balls in the game, has already made 163 saves for the year (10 saves away from matching her career best for a season on 173 set last year).
The Goucher College women's lacrosse team returns home to Beldon Field on Friday, as they take on Elizabethtown in a Landmark Conference match-up. Things get underway at 5:30 p.m.
