Senior goalie Bridget Den Boer (Sparta, N.J.) and sophomore attacker Shannon Stull (Westminster, Md.) were named to the 2018 Women's Lacrosse All-Landmark Conference Second Team on Thursday in their respective positions.
Den Boer, who earns a spot on the All-Landmark Conference Team for the second time in her career (she last was named in 2016), had a historic senior season in between the pipes for the Gophers.
In all, Den Boer made 260 saves for the year, a new Landmark Conference record for a single season, shattering the previous mark of 210 saves set by Cortney Rosenberg of Moravian in 2010. Den Boer also broke the Landmark (and matched the school record) in saves in a single game on April 14 against Susquehanna after stopping 32 shots on the afternoon.
With 260 saves and a 17.33 save per game average, Den Boer continues to lead not only Division III but all NCAA Divisions in those statistical categories at the end of the season.
Stull, meanwhile, was Goucher's leader on offense the entire season, finishing the year with 43 goals. Stull scored multiple goals in 12 of the 15 games the Gophers played in on the year, scoring five goals in a contest three times. One of those five-goal games led the Gophers to an 11-10 win at Juniata on April 7, and for her efforts in the match, Stull was named the Landmark's Offensive Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career.
