GALLOWAY, N.J. - Host Stockton University posted a 17-0 shutout victory over Goucher College in non-conference women's lacrosse Saturday afternoon at the Stockton Turf Field.
The host Ospreys (2-1) jumped out to an 8-0 lead after one quarter with four different players scoring goals. Stockton increased its lead to 11-0 at halftime.
Goucher (0-3) starting goalie Belle Christ (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) made seven saves in the first half before Sydney Lewis (Baltimore, Md./Carver) recorded a pair of saves over the final 30 minutes.
Stockton held a 31-1 shot advantage on the afternoon.
DJ Howell (Jamaica, N.Y./Frederick Douglass Academy) had a pair of caused turnovers for the Gophers. Katie Kebrich (Towson, Md./Towson) registered a pair of draw controls.
Goucher returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Hood for a 7 pm contest. The Gophers are back home on Wednesday, March 8, hosting Trinity Washington at 7 pm at Beldon Field.
