HUNTINGTON, Pa. - Host Juniata College held Goucher College scoreless in the second half as it downed the Gophers 17-2 in Landmark Conference women's lacrosse Saturday afternoon at Gibbel Stadium.
- The Eagles (11-2, 4-1) scored the game's first five goals and led 5-0 with just under six minutes to go in the first.
- Goucher (3-10, 1-5) scored a man-up goal with 45 seconds remaining at Bailey Schneeman scored with Molly Smith assisting.
- Juniata scored 3:27 into the second frame to make it 6-1.
- Katherine Luetgens converted a free position shot with 7:48 left before halftime to make it 6-2.
- The Eagles scored four times in the final 7:33 of the haf to take a 10-2 lead into intermission.
- Juniata scored a pair of goals in the final 3:16 of the third to extend its lead to 12-2.
- Sydney Lewis made three saves for Goucher as the Gophers were outshot 8-1.
- The hosts scored five times in the final frame, outshooting the Gophers 10-0.
- Juniata took 43 shots to Goucher's five and won 17 of the game's 23 draw controls.
