Gophers Defeat the Knights in Home Contest

Towson, Md.- Gophers host the Knights of Southern Virginia University in this non-conference contest. Goucher had their highest scoring game of the season making 19 goals. Multiple players had their first goals of the season allowing them to clinch their win over the Knights. 

• Gophers wins four draw controls.
• Tatiana Emeruwa scores two consecutive goals. 
• Goucher score again with a goal by Wrenn Harney. Her first of the season. 
• Emily Burk rounds out the Gopher scoring of the quarter with a man up goal at (1:34) remaining. 

• Southern begins the scoring for the quarter at (14:31).
• Gophers go on a four goal scoring streak with two goals by Molly Smith. Camden West and Katie Bloom add the other two.
• Knights score four goals in the quarter. 
• Goucher wins nine draw controls and had four ground balls. 
• Harney and Burk add two more goals to the score. Gophers are up 10-4 going into halftime. 

• Gophers starts the quarter scoring four goals in a row with two by Emeruwa and one each for Burk and Bloom.

• The Gophers will be playing DeSales on Wednesday, March 5th. The 4pm game will be on the road at DeSales in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. Their nect home contest will be Saturday, March 8th against Bryn Athyn.
