Bio

Stacey Williams joins the Gophers after a very successful stint as a high school teacher and coach in Orlando, Florida.  During her three years at Bishop Moore Catholic High School, she led the team to a 51-16 record, three district championships and a berth in the 2012 state championship game.  She was named the 2011 and 2012 US Lacrosse Orlando Coach of the Year and has coached numerous high school All-Americans.  In July 2012, she was named a head coach for the Champion All-American Showcase, where she coached some of the nation’s elite high school players.

“To have a coach of Stacey’s caliber join our program is really exciting”, head coach Katie Trainor said.  “She is passionate and enthusiastic about lacrosse and is a great teacher of the game.  I look forward to working with her and bringing Goucher Women’s Lacrosse to new heights”.

Williams is a 2001 graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s in Education and a 2002 graduate of OSU with a Masters of Education.  She was a two-sport athlete, competing for the field hockey and lacrosse programs.   Williams is active with US Lacrosse and is a member of the Women’s Coaches Council and the Goalkeeping Task Force.
