Women’s Soccer, Juniata Battle to Double Overtime, 0-0 Draw
HUNTINGDON, Pa. - In a game dominated by both teams goalkeepers, the Goucher women’s soccer team and host Juniata were unable to crack a scoreless tie in 110 minutes of action on Saturday, as the match ended in a double overtime draw in Landmark Conference action.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. - In a game dominated by both teams goalkeepers, the Goucher women's soccer team and host Juniata were unable to crack a scoreless tie in 110 minutes of action on Saturday, as the match ended in a double overtime draw in Landmark Conference action.
With the result, the Gophers moved to 4-4-3 overall and 0-1-2 in the Landmark, while Juniata went to 4-6-1 and 0-2-1 in the Landmark with the tie.
On the day, both teams had ample opportunities throughout to score.
In the end, Juniata narrowly outshot Goucher overall, 20-18, as both teams fired eight shots on net in the contest. But, Goucher sophomore keeper Christina Charikofsky (Eldersburg, Md.) and Juniata goalie Kristin Racis both made eight saves, apiece, to keep the game scoreless all day.
Overall, seniors Camryn Mackey (Washington, D.C.) and Theresa Antkowiak-Tassone (Towson, Md.) had the most shots on the day for Goucher, firing four shots, apiece, two of which were on goal for each.
The Goucher College women's soccer team returns to action on Wednesday, as they host Catholic in a Landmark Conference match-up at Beldon Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
