SELINGROVE, Pa. – Goucher College lost a Landmark Conference women's soccer match at Susquehanna on Saturday.
Christina Charikofsky (Eldersburg, Md,./Liberty) made seven saves for the Gophers while Alyssa Hodnik (Pittsburgh, Pa./Kiski Area) had all three shots in the loss.
Hodnik had two shots at the end of the first half, missing high in the 43rd minute and stopped by the River Hawks netminder in the 45th minute. The junior then had the team's final scoring chance, but was turned away in the 54th minute.
Susquehanna scored twice in the first half and once in the second half to earn the 3-0 win.
Goucher returns to action with its final home game of the year against Elizabethtown College. Match time is 4 p.m. The team will honor seniors Rebecca Hallameyer (Freeland, Md./Hereford), Gracie LeFevre (Glenwood, Md./Glenelg) an Dani Sweet (Hallowell, Maine/Hall-Dale) prior to the match.
