Adinolfi Places 10th Overall in 100-Yard Butterfly

READING, Pa. — Goucher added 61 points to its total today, but that wasn't enough for the Gophers to move out of eighth place at the 2012 Landmark Conference Women's Swimming & Diving Championships.
The top finish by a Goucher swimmer on the middle day of the three-day meet was 10th place by Victoria Adinolfi (Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) in the 100-yard butterfly. She completed the event in 1:04.79.
Nicole Craver (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove Area) placed 12th in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:12.72) and Sarah Pardus (Stratham, N.H./Exeter) was 13th overall in the 200-yard freestyle (2:06.67).
Goucher's entries in both of the relay events that were on today's schedule finished in eighth place. In the 200 medley relay, the foursome of Kellyn Brower (Glen Ridge, N.J./Glen Ridge), Craver, Adinolfi and Pardus recorded a time of 1:59.50; in the 800 free relay, Brower, Rachel Lyon (Fallston, Md./The John Carroll School), Catherine Gepner (West Allenhurst, N.J./Ocean Twp.) and Mel Lovalvo (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) were clocked at 8:53.73.
With a two-day total of 128.50 points, the Gophers sit 49.50 points behind Drew, which occupies seventh place.
