After being disqualified in the 200-yard medley relay, Goucher (0-2, 0-2 Landmark) could never catch Catholic (2-1, 1-0 Landmark) today.
The Gophers received second place performances in five events during the contest portion of the meet.
In distance freestyle, Mel Lovalvo (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) was the runner up in the 1000, while Rachel Lyon (Fallston, Md./The John Carroll School) also came in second in the 500.
Abbey Wegman (Knoxville, Tenn./Berean Christian) earned four points for her team with her 50-yard freestyle, which she completed in :27.93.
Nicole Craver (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove Area) placed second twice, first in the 200 freestyle (2:07.56) and later in the 100 breaststroke (1:16.56).
In uncontested action, Goucher took first in the 100-yard butterly, thanks to Sydney Patterson (Dallas, Texas/Woodrow Wilson), and 200 yard individual medley (Craver).
The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Marykate Malone (Gales Ferry, Conn./Ledyard), Lyon, Patrice D'Orazio (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Joseph Hill Academy) and Wegman finished in 4:16.32 to win.
