Lady Gophers Fall to Conference Opponent Cardinals
Goucher Swimming slides to .500 as they compete against one of the top ranked programs in the conference at Catholic University of America
WASHINGTON, DC - Goucher women's swimming slides to .500 with a loss against Catholic University, one of the top ranked programs in the Landmark Conference.
· Alexis Regopoulos (Fitchburg, MA) came on strong at the end of the 1000 Free (11:29.37) but was just out-touched earning 2nd place.
· Following her performance, Camilla Civiello (North Yarmouth, ME) won the next event, the 200 Free (2:23.25) as Molly Brenton took a close second place (2:25.47).
· Ila Jackson (Columbia, MD) swam a tight race taking 3rd in the 50 Free (:26.65).
· Jackson placed 3rd again in the 100 Free (:59.64).
· Isabelle Pardew (Towson, MD) was one of two 1st place finishers for the Gophers today as she claimed the top spot in the 100 Back (1:03.60) as teammate Molly Brenton (Lancaster, PA) clinched 3rd (1:07.64).
· Regopoulos was able to finish in the top 3 as she swam her way to a (5:53.46) in the 500 Free.
· Kyanna Cadwallader (Gainesville, Fl./ Gainesville) gave the Gophers their second and only win for the day as she swam the fastest in the 100 Breast (1:15.77).
· Civiello , Brenton, Zoe Brown (Portland, OR), Lizzy Hannifin (Denver, CO) ended the meet with a solid 2nd place performance in the 200 Free Relay (1:49.77)
Goucher will be off from dual meet competition until January 14th when the host conference opponent Marywood University at 1pm.
