Gophers Contend in Day One of Landmark Swim & Dive Championship
Junior Alexis Regopoulos took home third place for the Goucher College women's swimming team on the first day of the Landmark Conference championships.
GERMANTOWN, MD – Junior Alexis Regopoulos took home third place for the Goucher College women's swimming team on the first day of the Landmark Conference championships.
Regopoulos earned the Gophers 16 points when she brought home the bronze medal in the 500 free with a time of 5:17.76.
Junior Kyanna Cadwallader, senior Lizzy Hannifin and freshman Camilla Civiello advanced to the finals in the 50 free, posting times of 25.97, 26.01 and 26.12, respectively. All three combined with sophomore Ila Jackson to earn the Gophers 24 points in the 200 medley relay (1:40.88) after a fifth-place finish.
Goucher currently sits in seventh place with 55 points after the first day of competition at the Landmark Conference swimming & diving championships. The Landmark Conference reconvenes tomorrow morning at 10am for day two of the swimming & diving championships.
