Regopoulos Takes Pair of Events to Lead Women’s Swimming in Loss to Catholic

With the defeat, Goucher is now 1-5 on the year in dual meets.
On the day, Regopoulos was able to take the first two individual events contested on the day, winning the 1000-freestyle in 11:21.43 and the 200-freestyle in 2:05.09.
Elsewhere, junior Ila Jackson (Columbia, Md./Homeschooled) also had a strong meet, as she won the 100-freestyle in 58.63 while finishing second in the 50-freestyle (26.46). Meanwhile, senior Kyanna Cadwallader (Gainesville, Fla./Gainesville) finished second in a pair of events on the day - the 50-breaststroke (34.45) and 100-breaststroke (1:15.61).
In relay events, Cadwallader helped the 200-medley relay team open the meet with a second-place finish, as they hit the wall in 2:00.13. Also swimming legs in the relay were Jackson, freshman Alexis Liszewski (St. Louis, Mo./ St. Dominic) and Kathryn Shannon (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Louisville).
The Goucher College women's swimming team is now idle into the New Year, as the Gophers return to action on Saturday, January 13 at Marywood. Action gets underway at 1 p.m.
