Women's Swimming Drops Senior Day Meet to Susquehanna

TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College Women's Swimming team (3-6 overall) fell to the Riverhawks of Susquehanna 478.1-394.8 Saturday afternoon in the Von Borries Aquatic Center.
The 2017-18 senior class of Molly Brenton (Lancaster, Pa.), Kyanna Cadwallader (Gainesville, Fla.), Rachel Kieffer (Granada Hills, Calif.), Nikki Lynch (Brunswick, Maine), Alexis Regopoulos (Fitchburg, Mass.), and Ivelisse Rivera (Staten Island, N.Y.) were recognized prior to today's dual meet.zz
How It Happened:
- Regopoulos finished first in the 1000-Free with a time of 11:30.79.
- Junior Ila Jackson (Columbia, Md.) placed second in the 100-Breast in 1:16.65 and also finished second in the 50-Free with a time of 26.45.
- First-year Alexis Liszewski (St. Louis, Mo.) finished second in the 200-IM in 2:29.15.
- The Gophers also had two personal bests and three seasonal bests in the meet.
- First-year Lily Marcus (Libertyville, Ill.) got a personal best in the 1000-Free with a time of 13:07.63. Sophomore Mikaela Smith (Washington, D.C.) had a personal best in the 50-Free finishing in 30.50.
- Sophomore Sara Jordan (Meriden, Conn.) recorded two seasonal bests during the meet, the first in the 100-Free with a time of 1:10.36 and in the 100-Back with a time of 1:18.39.
- Brenton finished the 50-Back with a seasonal best time of 31.29.

The Gophers travel down the road to Johns Hopkins for a dual meet on Friday beginning at 5 pm.
