Jackson, Regopoulos Lead Women’s Swimming on Second Night of Landmark Championships

GERMANTOWN, Md. - The Goucher College women's swimming team finds itself in sixth place overall entering the final day of the 2018 Landmark Conference Championships at the Germantown Swimming Center.
On the night Saturday, the highest finish in an individual final on the night was registered by junior Ila Jackson (Columbia, Md.) in the 100-butterfly, who placed fifth with a time of 1:00.47 in the finals. Meanwhile, senior Alexis Regopoulos (Fitchburg, Mass.) was seventh in the 200-freestyle, hitting the wall in 2:00.11 in the finals.
In the 200-medley relay, the Gophers finished fifth, as the team of Jackson, seniors Molly Brenton (Lancaster, Md.) and Kyanna Cadwallader (Gainesville, Fla.), and first-year Alexis Liszewski (St. Louis, Mo.) hit the wall in 1:53.16, a new program record in the event. The final event of the night was the 800-free relay, where Goucher finished sixth in 8:26.37.
