Women's Tennis Wins 1st Match of the Season
On Wednesday afternoon Goucher hosted Stevenson University in their first full game of the season.

BALTIMORE, MD. - On Wednesday afternoon Goucher hosted Stevenson University in their first full game of the season. Miranda Egan-Brooks (Brooklyn, NY) and Mackenzie Donohue (Bronx, NY) scored the first win of the match 8-1 (3rd doubles). The second win came from Alice Goldstein-Plesser (Durham, NC) and Leigh Oehrig (Woodbine, MD) with a score of 8-2 (1st doubles). At 2nd doubles, Ali Tomasevish (Harleysville, PA) and Ali Gorson-Morrow (Broomall, PA) gained Goucher’s 3rd win.
After a sweep in doubles, 2nd singles Leigh Oehrig won her match at 6-1 and 6-1. At 6th singles, Ali Gorson-Morrow helped seal Goucher’s first win (5th out of 9 games) 6-2, 6-0. Miranda Egan-Brooks followed the trend also winning 6-2, 6-0. Goucher’s last three matches went into tie-breakers. Alice Goldstein-Plesser fought long and hard, eventually falling 6-2, 3-6 (10-8). Ali Tomasevish prevailed in her tie-break winning 6-2, 7-6 (7-5). Goucher’s last match ended after a hard fought battle with Mackenzie Donohue falling 3-6, 7-6 (9-7) (10-5).
