Women's Tennis is Swept on the Road
The Goucher College women’s tennis team ( 0-2, Landmark 0-0) lost to Dickinson College 0-9 on the road Tuesday afternoon.
CARLISLE, Pa. – The Goucher College women's tennis team ( 0-2, Landmark 0-0) lost to Dickinson College 0-9 on the road Tuesday afternoon.
The Gophers trailed the Red Devils 0-3 following doubles play. The duo of Mandile Mpofu (Harare, Zimbabwe) and Ali Gorson-Morrow (Broomall, Pa.) fell 2-8 at #1 doubles. Goucher dropped #2 and #3 doubles 2-8 and 1-8, respectively.
Mpofu battled at #1 singles, but ultimately fell 3-6, 3-6. Junior Ali Tomasevich (Harleysville, Pa.) took two games in each set at #4 singles.
The Gophers are back in action on Saturday at the Goucher College Invitational beginning at 9 a.m.
