Hartman Nabs Landmark Conference Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week Honors
First-year Morgan Hartman (Woodstock, Vermont) of the Goucher College women’s tennis team has been named the Landmark Conference’s women’s tennis Athlete of the Week for the period ending March 31 the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

With the announcement, it marks the second straight week a Goucher women's tennis player has been named Athlete of the Week by the Landmark, as junior Miranda Egan-Brooks earned the award last Monday.
On the week, Hartman went unbeaten in both singles and doubles, leading the Gophers to victories over Immaculata (6-3) on Thursday and Susquehanna (7-2) on Saturday to extend their winning streak to four matches.
First, against Immaculata, Hartman and partner junior Meera Balasubramanian (Bel Air, Md.) dominated at number three doubles, 8-1 to put Goucher up, 2-1, entering singles. There, Hartman clinched the match for the Gophers with a three-set (2-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-3)) win at number four.
Against Susquehanna, Hartman and Balasubramanian posted an 8-4 win at number three doubles to put the Gophers up, 3-0, in the match. And, for the second straight match, Hartman clinched a win for Goucher, taking a straight-set (6-3, 6-4) win at number four singles.
Hartman and the rest of the Goucher College women's tennis team returns to action on Thursday, as they travel to Albright for an out-of-conference match. First serve is set for 3:30 p.m.
