Women’s Tennis Drops Two Over Weekend in Landmark Play at Scranton, Drew
The Goucher College women’s tennis team fell in a pair of road Landmark Conference matches this weekend, dropping a 9-0 decision at Scranton on Saturday evening, then falling, 7-2, at Drew on Sunday.

With the defeats, the Gophers fell to 6-7 overall and 1-2 in the Landmark Conference.
After a tough night at Scranton in which they did not win a match, the Gophers were able to collect a point in doubles against Drew, as the tandem of senior Mackenzie Donohue (Bronx, N.Y.) and sophomore Kyoko Konoshita (Tokyo, Japan) took an 8-4 win at number two.
The host Rangers, however, won the other two doubles matches contested to go up 2-1 in singles. There, Drew captured five of the six matches contested, as Goucher's lone win came at number five where sophomore Katie Marzerka (Wolfeboro, N.H.) was a 6-0, 6-2 winner.
The Goucher College women's tennis team returns to action on Tuesday, as the Gophers host Notre Dame in a non-conference match at home. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
