Goucher College Women's Tennis Falls To Moravian

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Moravian College defeated Goucher College in Landmark Conference women's tennis action on Sunday.

Anais Gill (Cambridge, England/Hills Road Sixth Form College) and Mandile Mpofu (Harare, Zimbabwe/Arundel School) won at No. 1 doubles, 8-1.

Tes DeJaeger (Norwalk, Conn./Brien McMahon) and Haddie Hill (San Antonio, Texas/The Episcopal School of Texas) fell 8-4 at No. 2 doubles while Ali Gorson-Morrow (Broomall, Pa./Barrack Hebrew School) and Kyoko Kinoshita (Tokyo, Japan/Tilton School [N.H.]) dropped an 8-3 match at No. 3 doubles.

Gill lost 6-1, 7-5 at No. 1 singles and Mpofu fell 7-5, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Hill won the first set 6-0, but then dropped the final two sets 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles while DeJaeger lost 6-3, 6-3 at No. 4 singles.

Katie Marzerka (Wolfeboro, N.H./Kingswood Regional) played to a 6-2, 6-1 defeat at No. 5 singles and Ali Tomasevich (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) lost 7-5, 6-2 at No. 6 singles. The Greyhounds won the match, 8-1.

Goucher returns to action on Wednesday at Catholic. Match time is 3 p.m.
