TOWSON, Md. - Visiting Salisbury University posted a 9-0 sweep over Goucher College in non-conference women's tennis Saturday afternoon at the Schroedl Tennis Center.
- The Sea Gulls (7-3) swept No. 1 and No. 3 doubles 8-0.
- Gigi Bellisario (Elmer, N.J./Woodstown) and Alex DiGiovanni (York, Pa./Dover) took a game at No. 2 for Goucher (2-8) and fell 8-1.
- Bellisario battled at No. 2, dropping the first set 6-4 in an eventual 6-4, 6-1 defeat.
- DiGiovanni fell 6-1, 6-3 at No. 4.
- The Sea Gulls posted sweeps at No. 1 and No. 6.
- Salisbury won its second straight match.
- Goucher plays its Landmark Conference opener on Sunday, hosting Juniata at 10:30 am at the Schroedl Tennis Center.
