Aaliyah Ybarra Named Landmark Player of the Week

TOWSON, Md. - Goucher College women's tennis junior Aaliyah Ybarra (Bastrop, Texas / Cedar Creek) was named the Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.

Ybarra posted a pair of victories as the Gophers opened their season with a 5-4 victory over Rutgers-Camden on Saturday.  In doubles Ybarra teamed with Shelby Meek (Halethorpe, Md. / Catonsville) to record an 8-0 victory at No. 3 to earn Goucher's lone doubles point.  In singles Ybarra was a 6-2, 6-1 victor at No. 6.

Goucher returns to action on Monday, September 19 when it travels to York College of Pennsylvania for a 3:30 match.
