CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. - The University of Scranton downed Goucher College 6-3 in Landmark Conference women's tennis action Sunday at the Birchwood Racquet Club.
- Scranton (5-5, 3-0 Landmark) swept three hard-fought doubles matches from Goucher (4-5, 2-1).
- At No. 2, Meline Siggen and Eliza Abady fell 8-7 (7-4).
- Jessica Townes and Aaliyah Ybarra dropped an 8-5 decision at No. 3, while Natalia Navarro and Lucy Ingraham fell 8-4 at No. 1.
- Ingraham recorded a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4.
- Shelby Meek was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at No. 5, while Sarai Oquendo Silveira downed her opponent at No. 6 6-2, 6-3.
- Navarro and Abady both fell in three sets.
- Navarro forced a third set at No. 1 before dropping her match 6-1, 2-6, 6-2.
- Abady won the first set 6-4 at No. 3 before her Royal opponent rallied for a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 win.
- Ingraham posted her fifth straight singles victory.
- Oquendo Silveira won her third straight match.
