Gophers Edge Out Owls in Second Meet of Double Header

TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College Women's Tennis Team (4-5 Overall; 1-1 Conference) faced the Harford Community College Owls (0-6 Overall) in the second match of the Spring Break double header, coming out on top with the 4-3 win, despite the limited roster.

In the No. 1 doubles, Lucy Ingraham and Eliza Abady secured the 6-4 victory.
Shelby Meek and Sarai Oquendo Silveira finished out the No. 2 doubles to win the point, 6-0.
The Gophers had to forfeit the No. 3 doubles due to a limited roster.

The singles matches were split, with Ingraham losing the No. 1 singles (0-6, 1-6), and then forfeiting the No. 5 and 6 singles.
Abady won the No. 2 singles 6-3, 6-3.
Meek and Oquendo Silveira both went undefeated, not letting up a game in the No. 3 and No. 4 singles (6-0, 6-0).

The Gophers take on Oberlin at the Schroedl Tennis Center on Monday, March 24th at 4pm
