Women’s Track & Field Jumps Back into Indoor Season at Collegeville Classic

As a team. the Gophers placed 13th on the afternoon in a meet won by Haverford.
On the day, sophomore Gabby Blazek (New Orleans, La.) had the highest individual finish of the day in an event, placing in a tie for third in the pole vault with a clearance of nine feet, 6.25 inches.
Meanwhile, in the shot put, sophomore Natalie Kent (Media, Pa.) registered a fourth-place finish with a throw of 35 feet, 8 inches. In the same event, fellow sophomore Taylor Gunter (Laurel, Md.) placed seventh with a throw of 34 feet, nine inches, while first-year Mikayla Hinnant was 11th with a personal-best throw of 32 feet, 4.75 inches.
In track events, Goucher's team in the 4x400 relay placed 10th after crossing the finish line in 4:47.33.
The Goucher College women's track & field team returns to action next Saturday at the Patriot Games, which will be held at George Mason University.
