Gunter Takes Weight Throw to Lead Women’s Track & Field at Albright Invite
READING, Pa. - Sophomore Taylor Gunter (Laurel, Md.) once again had a big day for the Goucher College track & field team on Saturday, as the Gophers’ indoor season continued at the Albirght College Invitational.

On the day, Goucher finished seventh overall as a team, as Gettysburg won the the Invitational as a team with a final score of 114 points.
Gunter got her day started for Goucher with a second place finish in the shot put, recording a 35 feet, 9.5 inch effort in the event. Next up for Gunter was the weight throw, in which she was victorious with a 44 foot, 7.4 inch toss. The mark was the seventh best all-time in program history, as well.
Elsewhere on the day, first-year Mikayla Hinnant (Walford, Md.) was eighth in the weight throw with a personal best effort of 35 foot, 6.7 inch, and 14th in the shot put (28 feet, 7.3 inches). On the track, first-year Jennifer Alves (Goias, Brazil) was 10th in the 800-meters (3:11.81), while first-year Enid Swatson (Accra, Ghana) was 11th in the 200-meters in 33.03.
The Goucher College women's track & field team returns to action on Friday evening, as they travel to Susquehanna for the S.U. Challenge. Action gets underway at 4 p.m.
