Bauer Hurls Into The Record Book With Program Record Toss At Albright Invitational For Goucher Track & Field
READING, Pa. – Darby Bauer (Perkiomenville, Pa./Boyertown Area) tossed himself in the record books with a program-record weight throw toss at the Albright Invitational on Saturday.
Bauer hurled a weight throw toss of 13.51m to best Mark Renehan's 2011 school record of 12.81m by 0.60m. He finished fourth in the event.
Taylor Gunter (Laurel, Md./Sandy Spring Friends School) posted a pair of Top-6 finishes with a fourth-place finish in the shot put (10.77m) and a sixth-place standing in the weight throw (13.19m).
Mikayla Hinnant (Waldorf, Md./Westlake) had a nice afternoon after setting new personal marks in the shot put and weight throw. Hinnant finished ninth in the shot put (10.00m) and 12th in the weight throw (9.95m).
Along with Bauer's school record, Joel Gladney (Perry Hall, Md./Perry Hall) was 12th in the shot put (10.83m) on the men's side while Brandon Julot (Baltimore, Md./The SEED School of Maryland) placed 13th in the weight throw (10.54m) and 15th in the shot put (10.54m).
The rest of the Goucher College track and field team will head to Hagerstown Community College for a meet on Sunday.
