Gophers Score 35 Points, Finish in Eighth Place

Biggers Completes 400 Dash in 1:03.72, Good for Third Place
GRANTHAM, Pa. — Goucher had an individual place as high as third in an event today at the Messiah Invitational.
The third-place performance was turned in by Caitlin Biggers (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Lakeland) in the 400-meter dash. She completed the event in 1:03.72.
Next came a fourth-place finish by Katelynn Zidanic (York, Pa./Central York) in the 5,000-meter run. She was clocked at 19:57.42.
Sarah Pardus (Stratham, N.H./Exeter) was also entered in the 5,000 meters and she took seventh place (21:00.06).
Jaclyn Kellon (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/St. Peter Chanel) placed fifth in the 400-meter dash (1:05.29); Kathryn Walker (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) was sixth in the 1,500-meter run (5:13.63).
The top finish for the Gophers in a relay was fourth place in the 4 x 800-meter event. Running for Goucher were Walker, Kenzie Weber (Lake George, N.Y./Lake George), Zidanic and Shea Staab (Fallston, Md./Fallston) and they were clocked at 10:48.87.
Goucher's entry consisting of Kellon, Jewell Porter (Silver Spring, Md./John F. Kennedy), Biggers and Weber in the 4 x 100-meter relay recorded a time of :54.82, good for seventh place.
With a total of 35 points, the Gophers finished in eighth place in the team scoring.
