Staab, Granger Earn Top Three Finishes at McDaniel
WESTMINSTER, Md. — Goucher wrapped up its regular season schedule at the McDaniel Twilight Meet tonight, with the Gophers scoring in six separate events and earning a total of 29 points.

Shea Staab (Fallston, Md./Fallston) highlighted the evening with a second place performance in the 5,000 meters. Staab, who placed first among attached runners, completed the race in 20:59.67 to pick up eight points for Goucher.
Danielle Granger (Amherst, Va./Amherst County) totaled 10 points in her two events for the Gophers. Six of those points came from her third place finish in the 100 meter hurdles. Granger crossed the finish line in 17.42 seconds. She then set a new personal best in the 400 meter hurdles, finishing the event in 1:11.03 to tack on four more points with a fifth place showing.
Katelynn Zidanic (York, Pa./Central York) rounded out Goucher's scoring track athletes. She placed fifth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 12:48.45.
Maafio Appiah-Padi (Edmonton, Alberta/Lewisburg Area) and Sara Aganovic (Pasadena, Md./McDonogh) each tallied points for the Gophers in field events. Appiah-Padi had her farthest throw of the season in the shot put, recording a distance of 10.36 meters which placed her sixth overall. Aganovic registered a top distance of 9.70 meters in the triple jump, which was good enough for fifth place.
Goucher can now look ahead to the Landmark Championships, which will be hosted by the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy from May 3-4.
