SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Goucher's Bri Prince (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) and Danielle Granger (Amherst, Va./Amherst County) were officially recognized as Second-Team All-Landmark performers in a conference announcement today after finishing as runner-ups in their respective events at this weekend's Landmark Outdoor Championships.
All event champions receive First-Team All-Landmark status, while second place finishers land on the second team.
Prince placed second out of 17 competitors in the shot put after hurling a school-record breaking toss of 12.45 meters (40'10 1/4") on her final throw of the meet. That was only 0.12 meters back of Susquehanna's Cam Weaver, and it broke a program mark which had stood since Goucher Hall of Famer Natalie Williams Brewer registered a throw of 39'8 1/4" back in April of 2003.
Granger had a career-best time of 1:09.51 in the 400 meter hurdles final to edge Moravian's Rebecca Flitcroft for second place in the event. Granger beat out the Greyhound sophomore by 0.33 seconds for her first individual All-Landmark honor.
