Goucher Has Five Top-5 Finishes at Mason-Dixon Invitational

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Goucher men's and women's track and field programs traveled to Gettysburg College for the Mason Dixon Invitational.
- Sophomore Taylor Gunter (Laurel, Md.) and sophomore Natalie Kent (Media, Pa.) placed fifth in three events and sixth in one. Kent placed fifth in the Discus with a distance of 32.77m and fifth in the shot put with a final distance of 11.34m. Gunter finished in fifth in the Hammer Throw, with a distance of 38.61m and sixth in the shot put with a final score of 10.89m.
- In the pole vault, sophomore Gabby Blazek (New Orleans, La.) was third overall with a clearance of 2.65 meters.
- First-year Devon Esslinger (Las Cruces, N.M.) finished fifth in the 110 Meter hurdles with a time of 17.11 and placed fourth in the triple jump with a final distance of 12.18m, which is the fourth best jump in the event in the program history.
- Sophomore Darby Bauer (Perkiomenville, Pa.) finished sixth in the hammer throw with a final distance of 40.04m, which was the second-best mark in school history.
Goucher will travel to Elizabethtown, Pa. in two weeks for the Landmark Conference Championships. The first day of competition starts Saturday, May 5th.
