TOWSON, MD — Goucher ran its winning streak against
non-Capital Athletic Conference opponents to nine matches tonight
by defeating Villa Julie, 3-0.
Game scores were 32-30, 30-28, 30-18.
Margaret Egiziaco (Valhalla, NY/Valhalla)
contributed a team-leading 20 kills and 21 digs to the victory.
Megan Smith (Long Beach, CA/Long Beach
Polytechnic) achieved a double-double of 13 kills and 16
digs, while Catie Ditmore (Santa Barbara, CA/Laguna
Blanca) was credited with 12 digs and 35 assists.
The Gophers (16-13) won 16 of their 22 matches against
non-conference opponents this season and are now guaranteed to
finish with a winning record for the first time since 1998.
