HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Membership in the Landmark Conference afforded Goucher the opportunity to play the defending Division III national champions and that opportunity presented itself today on Juniata's home court. It was a tall order for the Gophers, but one from which head coach Michael Bossom's players never backed down.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Membership in the Landmark Conference afforded Goucher the opportunity to play the defending Division III national champions and that opportunity presented itself today on Juniata's home court. It was a tall order for the Gophers, but one from which head coach Michael Bossom's players never backed down.
The Eagles were victorious, 3-0. Game scores were 30-13, 30-16, 30-16.
Juniata's attack was powerful as usual. Eleven different players supplied the Eagles (16-1, 4-0 Landmark) with kills and the team finished the match with a .377 attack percentage.
Megan Smith (Honolulu, HI/Long Beach Polytechnic) and Kasey Quinn (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) both contributed nine kills to Goucher's cause. Smith also led the Gophers (6-7, 0-3 Landmark) in digs (7); Quinn finished with a team-high four service aces.
Claire Sauvage-Mar (New Dehli, India/American Embassy School) was Goucher's leader in assists with 12.
