Gophers Take 3-0 Hits from Pioneers, Bulldogs

BALTIMORE, Md . – Goucher wasn't able to break through against either Widener or DeSales today at the ASICS Invitational, but still managed to place a player on the all-tournament team.
The Gophers were beaten by Widener, 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-20), and
DeSales, 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-18).
Megan Smith (Hololulu, Hawaii/Long Beach Polytechnic) was Goucher's
leader in kills in both matches. She was credited with 13 kills
against the Pioneers and eight against the Bulldogs.
Rebecca Schaefer (River Edge, N.J./River Dell) and Kasey Quinn
(Ellicott City, D/Severna Park), both reached double figures in
digs in the Widener match as Schaefer supplied the Gophers (0-4)
with 13 digs and Quinn with 11.
For the second year in a row, Smith represened Goucher on the
all-tournament team.
