Gophers Take Second 3-0 Hit from Pride

Smith Finishes with Eight Kills, Match-High 14 Digs

CHESTER, Pa. – Goucher was handed a 3-0 loss by Widener for a second time this season tonight. Game scores were 25-22, 25-19, 25-10.

The first meeting between the two teams was at the season-opening ASICS Invitational where the Pride finished in second place.

In tonight's rematch, Goucher's Megan Smith (Honolulu, Hawaii/Long Beach Polytechnic) and Widener's Danielle Wetling led their respective teams in kills with eight apiece. Smith finished with a match-high 14 digs.

Although the Pride (9-2) was credited with only 10 more kills than the Gophers (1-7) during the entire match, Widener's attack percentage computed at .225 and Goucher's at -.020.
