Gophers Surpass .200 Attack Percentage Twice
LANHAM, Md. – Goucher accomplished something twice this evening that it managed to do only once in the first 11 matches of the season – a team attack percentage over .200. The Gophers hit .295 as a team in defeating Lancaster Bible, 3-1 (22-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-15), before posting an attack percentage of .270 while polishing off Washington Bible, 3-0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-6).

LANHAM, Md. – Goucher accomplished something twice this
evening that it managed to do only once in the first 11 matches of
the season – a team attack percentage over .200. The Gophers
hit .295 as a team in defeating Lancaster Bible, 3-1 (22-25, 25-15,
25-15, 25-15), before posting an attack percentage of .270 while
polishing off Washington Bible, 3-0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-6).
Prior to this evening, the Gophers surpassed .200 in hitting only
against McDaniel on Sept. 9.
Questina Johnson (Parkville, Md./Parkville) and
Catie Ditmore (Santa Barbara, Calif./Laguna
Blanca) combined for 26 kills and 19 digs in the four-set
match against the Chargers. Claire Sauvage-Mar (New Delhi,
India/American Embassy School) supplied the Gophers with
33 assists and Katharine Genton (Arlington, Va./Cushing
Academy) was credited with a career-high 22 digs.
Rachel Hirsen (Los Angeles, Calif./Buckley School)
had eight kills and no errors in nine attempts (.889 attack
percentage) for Goucher (5-8) in the Washington Bible match.
Sauvage-Mar accounted for nine of Goucher's 21 service aces against
the Cougars.
