Seven different players served at least one ace against the Cougars (1-1): senior setter Claire Sauvage-Mar (New Delhi, India/American Embassy School) led the way with eight, while freshmen outside hitters Victoria Rain (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) and Megan Chalk (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) had three apiece.
The Gophers (2-3), who have won 20 of their last 21 matches at home against non-conference opponents dating back to the 2007 season, finished with a .237 attack percentage and made only one error in the first two sets.
