Gophers Drop First Home Match to Bison, 3-0

Set scores were 25-13, 25-21, 25-13.
As a team, the Gophers (2-5) earned only 12 points on successful attacks the entire match and they finished with a -.061 hitting percentage.
Only one Goucher player was credited with more than two kills and that was Kelly Budge (Harrington Park, N.J./Northern Valley Old Tappan), who had 11 digs and a pair of service aces to go along with her six kills.
Meredith Johnson (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) also had 11 digs.
The Bison (5-0) recorded a .270 attack percentage and were led by Darriyan Thomas, who had 12 kills and made only two hitting errors in 29 attempts (.345).
Goucher will attempt to bring an end to their current three-match losing streak when they travel just north of the Mason-Dixon Line to Abingdon, Pa. on Saturday for two matches. The first match is against Penn St.-Abingdon and it begins at 12 noon. In the second match, the Gophers will take on Summit.
