Green Terror Rout Gophers 3-0

BALTIMORE, MD. - The Centennial conference champs defeat Goucher in three sets.

The Green Terror and the Gophers traded points in the first set, finding themselves tied at 18-18. At that point McDaniel put together a strong late set run to take the first set.

After a tough second set the Gophers fought back in the third set leading the Green Terror 10-3. The match progressed as the two teams found themselves tied once again at 15-15. McDaniel harnessed their offensive power and closed out the set at 21-25.

The Gophers continue to improve and battled the Green Terror in each set. A 5-0 run in the first set and a 5-1 run in the third set demonstrate stretches of strength as the Gophers gathered themselves.

Comeback attempts by the Gophers stopped short, compliments to a strong opponent and occassionally at the fault of errors on the Goucher side. Regardless, team chemistry is strong and improvement is steady as Goucher enters the heart of their season. 

The Gophers travel to Moravian to play Elizabethtwon on Sept. 24th for their next match.
