Volleyball Rolls Past Trinity Washington at Home in Three Set Sweep
TOWSON, Md. - First-year Nelisabel La Court Ruiz (York, Pa.) had a match-high nine aces to lead the way, as the Goucher College volleyball team rolled past Trinity Washington on Saturday in a three-set sweep inside the Decker SRC Arena (25-4, 25-12, 25-7).

With the win, Goucher improved to 5-5 overall with the win, while Trinity Washington fell to 0-3 on the year with the defeat.
Overall on the afternoon for the Gophers in the dominant win, La Court Ruiz was dominant serving with her nine ace performance. Returning to the line-up today was sophomore Greta Coss (Bowie, Md.), who led the attack for Goucher with six kills.
Meanwhile, first-year Kaya Melchor (Mililani, Hawaii) and sophomore Bianca Brown (North Brunswick, N.J.) had five kills, apiece. Brown also had two solo blocks in the win, as well.
Setting up the attack all match was first-year Tes DeJaeger (Norwalk, Conn.), who went into double-figures in assists for the ninth straight match with 17 on the day.
The Goucher College volleyball team returns to action on Tuesday, as they host Penn State Harrisburg inside the Decker SRC Arena. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
